What TCU tuning changes
The transmission control unit (TCU) decides when and how your automatic or dual-clutch gearbox changes gear. Tuning it can cut hesitation, sharpen kickdown and help the gearbox cope with the extra torque from an engine remap.

Which gearboxes can you tune?
Many automatic and dual-clutch gearboxes, including popular DSG and ZF units. Send your reg and gearbox type and we’ll confirm what’s possible.
Do I need an engine remap as well?
Not always, but if the engine has been remapped the gearbox often needs its torque limits and shift behaviour adjusted to match.
Can you add launch control?
On some gearboxes, yes. See launch control.
